NAPCON COMMUNICATIONS specializes in marketing, public relations, event management, and membership development and has a proven track record of helping trade associations and non-profits with integrated marketing and communications strategies. The firm will oversee all NESMA’s online operations including website development, social media, and digital marketing campaigns.

Dee Babkirk, who has extensive experience working with manufacturing associations and organizing events, will be re-joining NESMA in her new role at NAPCON. Babkirk previously served as Executive Director of NESMA for over 7 years.

We are thrilled to be working with the NAPCON team and Dee again,” said Lucas Karabin, NESMA’s current President. “NAPCON’s full-service capabilities will allow us to do more to promote the interests of our members and raise awareness of the metal forming industry in New England. Dee’s knowledge of and passion for our industry as well as her experience organizing our annual events and conferences will help strengthen and grow our association.

Headquartered in Bristol, NESMA was founded in 1956 to promote the regional precision metal stamping, wire forming, machining and spring manufacturing industries. Serving over 80 manufacturers and service members, NESMA’s mission is to foster business relationships, provide educational opportunities and advocate for the growth of the metal forming industry. Working with the state on manufacturing initiatives like the Connecticut Manufacturing Collaborative, NESMA aims to celebrate manufacturing history while leading efforts to develop future manufacturing staff. Key association activities include an annual trade show and conference, plant tours, educational webinars and networking events.

I’m thrilled to be working with NESMA to help the association achieve its goals,” said Andrea Tarantino, founder and owner of Napcon Communications. “The metal forming industry in New England is filled with companies that are leaders in their fields, producing high-quality components and end-products. I look forward to highlighting the innovation, expertise and capabilities of NESMA members to customers, suppliers and industry partners throughout the region and beyond.
