The CMC is comprised of all the major regional and statewide manufacturing organizations across Connecticut, brought together and facilitated by CBIA/CONNSTEP in order to enable Connecticut’s manufacturing community to come together and speak with a single voice on statewide issues affecting manufacturing. Together, the CMC associations represent over 1200 manufacturing companies with tens of thousands of employees throughout Connecticut.
Throughout the fall of 2018, the CMC held several strategic planning sessions to define the broad challenges facing Connecticut manufacturers and developed comprehensive recommendations for addressing those challenges. Those recommendations have been communicated in-person to public policy leaders including Governor Lamont, the General Assembly’s Manufacturing Caucus, House and Senate leadership and many individual legislators.
