Kirti Patel is an accomplished business leader, board member, and strategic advisor with more than two decades of international experience in launching, expanding, and reshaping companies and business units.
He currently serves on the board of A Better Chance – Simsbury, a nonprofit organization. From 2013 to 2023, Patel was President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Director of Eppendorf Manufacturing Corporation/Eppendorf, Inc., the North American branches of the global life-science firm Eppendorf SE. Earlier, he was General Manager and Vice President at Siemens Molecular Imaging, where he headed a worldwide operation focused on preclinical PET/SPECT/CT imaging systems. Patel joined Siemens when Sensant, the medical device startup he co-founded in 1998, was acquired by Siemens Healthcare in 2005. Before launching Sensant, he spent four years at Intel, holding a range of engineering and management roles.
Patel earned an MBA from the Wharton School, a master’s in electrical engineering from Stanford University, an M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. in chemical engineering from Mangalore University in India.
Having grown up in Zambia and later spending ten years in India, Patel brings a broad cultural outlook. He moved to the United States in the early 1990s and has since lived in California, Tennessee, and Connecticut
